Editorial Policy

Source review

Every published hairstyle record links to at least one traceable editorial or professional styling source and records when that source was reviewed. We use those sources to check the fit notes, styling direction, and language used in the directory.

Image policy

When an image is a generated concept illustration, we identify it alongside the image. These illustrations show a hairstyle concept; they do not prove that a cut will look identical on every person. We do not use recognizable public figures, fabricated client stories, or misleading before-and-after images.

Updates and corrections

We review records when their sourcing, terminology, or styling guidance needs correction. If you spot an inaccurate source or label, please contact us so we can investigate and update the record where appropriate.
